It seems like for every post I put up at Wisdom of the Moon, I have a corresponding one in the Oops category over here. Not sure why I’m surprised at that. In fact, the ratio really should probably be 1 successful project to 3 failures.
I really do like the idea of hanging vases on the wall. I’ve seen various versions around the internet and finally decided to just make one myself. If done correctly, it’s lovely.
If you overtax the strength of the wires, though, it is less so.
What you’re looking at is the string of jars after I tried to untwist the middle one. The twisting and untwisting weakened the wire and made it snap. Both sides swung apart and, miraculously, nothing hit the floor or even spilled. It’s actually much less of a mistake than it could have been.
Also, working on this project has brought to my attention the fact that our walls are in dire need of a new coat of paint.
